Carolyn Todd Bray is in her third season as head coach of the College of Saint Mary softball team. Before taking over the CSM program, Bray was the assistant softball coach at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota for nine years. She coached 19 All-MIAC student-athletes, 14 All-MIAC honorable mention student-athletes and 11 All-Region players.
Earlier in her career, Bray was the assistant softball coach at Red Wing High School for six seasons, the Red Wing 18-and-under fastpitch coach for six seasons and the Red Wing 16-and-under coach for three seasons. She led the 2006 Red Wing 18-and-under fastpitch team to a fifth-place finish at the national tournament.
Bray completed her undergraduate degree at Saint Mary’s University with a major in Electronic Publishing and a minor in English. She played for the Cardinal fastpitch team for four years and was the NCAA Division III saves leader in 1996. She is currently a Three-Star Master Coach with the National Fastpitch Coaches College.
She is married to Chad Bray and lives in Omaha.
Bob Cannon joined the softball coaching staff at College of Saint Mary in August of 2009. His primary responsibility as a coach at CSM is hitting.
Cannon has years of experience coaching softball and baseball. He coached 12 years of Gladiator Baseball ages 10 through 14 and took them to the national tournament each year. Cannon coached Sizzle Softball ages 12 through 18 and took teams to Nationals at the 11-12 age and again at the18-and-under age in 2005.
Cannon resides in Omaha with his wife Denise and worked at 4C Construction, Inc. for 40 years.
