Brennan signs with CSM softball program

OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is pleased to announce the signing of Elizabeth Brennan, who will continue her softball career with the school in the 2026-27 academic year.

Brennan is a senior at Mead High School in Mead, Neb. She is the daughter of Robert and Cheryl Brennan.

CSM Coach Carolyn Todd Bray said the past signals that this is an excellent signing for the program's future.

"We are excited to announce Beth's signing to College of Saint Mary,'' she said. "We've got a strong connection with Yutan-Mead softball and Beth will be the fourth student-athlete to come to CSM over the last few years. We've gotten to know the family during the recruiting process and are thrilled to have them joining CSM softball.''

Brennan has played four years of softball at Yutan-Mead and four years of basketball at Mead. She has earned honorable mention all-conference honors in both sports, and was a member of the Yutan-Mead Class C state softball champion in 2022, which is her favorite sports moment to date.

She is expected to compete at first and third base for the Flames.

"Beth brings strong defensive skills at the corner positions, as well as a tough bat at the plate,'' Bray said. "I think she's just starting to reach the potential she has offensively. Academically, Beth is very strong and will be a great fit at College of Saint Mary.''

In her spare time, Brennan enjoys Bible studies and listening to music. She said CSM stood out for a variety of reasons.

"I chose CSM because of the amazing staff that supported me and my future,'' she said. "When I first came on my campus visit, CSM wanted the best for me. Specifically, Coach Bray from the CSM softball team gave me an amazing opportunity to continue playing the sport I love with people I care about.''
