Van Gordon signs with CSM bowling program
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is pleased to announce that Zoey Van Gordon has signed to continue her bowling career with the school in the 2026-27 academic year.
Van Gordon is a senior at Port Angeles High School in Port Angeles, Wash. She is the daughter of William and Jaymie Van Gordon.
In her junior year of high school, Van Gordon was a first-team all-conference performer. Individually, she placed third in the conference meet, seventh at districts and 20th at state.
"I'm excited to add Zoey to the team next season,'' CSM Coach Corrinne Johnson said. "She will be a great addition with her bubbly personality and her ability to adapt in her bowling skills.''
Van Gordon also has participated in soccer for two years and softball for three years in high school. Her greatest sports moment to date was in a bowling match against North Mason when she needed to double in the 10th frame for her team to win and she finished with a turkey.
In her free time, she enjoys drawing, participating in 4-H, raising pigs and softball.
Van Gordon said the trip from her home in the Pacific Northwest to the Midwest sold her that CSM was the right place to be.
"I spent the last six months talking with the bowling coach, and she convinced me to come down for a visit,'' Van Gordon said. "I love the feel of the college and how tight-knit the college is. Omaha is a beautiful place.''
