CSM bowlers have exceptional day at Kohawk Invite
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – College of Saint Mary Bowling Coach Corrinne Johnson said her squad was "on fire" Saturday at the Kohawk Invite.
The Flames are currently sitting in seventh place out of 14 teams in the two-day event. CSM had a pin total of 4,382 Saturday.
Mount Mercy University is leading the pack with 4,876 total pins. Judson University is currently in second with 4,860 and Lindenwood University has 4,742 for third.
The Flames had game scores of 774, 925, 851, 964 and 868.
"Our ladies were on fire today bowling our highest set of the season with a 964," Johnson said.
Abigail Rosloniec paced CSM with a five-game total of 933 to finish 20th individually. Teammate Madison Barnes finished with 914 total pins and Hannah O'Neal knocked down 897 pins.
Rosloniac had a team-high game of 257 in the second round and then added another 200 game in the fourth set. Reagan Minor also had a game over 200 with a 211 in the fourth round and Barnes rolled a 204 in the third game.
"The ladies bowled exceptionally well and we were hanging in fifth place for most of the day. We moved down to seventh by 38 pins at the end of day one and missed 6th by three pins.
"This will give them the fuel to fight back tomorrow in Bakers and reclaim fifth."
