Flames slip a spot at Kohawk Invite

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The College of Saint Mary bowling team had a great day Saturday at the Kohawk Invite, but the Flames slipped a spot Sunday.

CSM finished with 6,916 total pins for 8th place out of 14 teams.

"With the exceptional bowling from the ladies on Saturday, I was expecting us to take that into Bakers today and move back up the ladder," CSM Coach Corrinne Johnson said. "But we struggled covering spares and couldn't string enough clean frames together to keep the scores up.

"That unfortunately knocked us down to eighth place to finish out the weekend."

CSM had Baker games of 139, 152, 135, 143, 164, 199, 159, 176, 183, 156, 148, 151, 138, 183, 155 and 153.

The Flames wrap up the 2025-26 season on Feb. 21 at the KCAC Conference Championships in Topeka, Kan.

"We have the next two weeks to practice and prepare for the KCAC tournament," Johnson said.
