CSM golfers ready for GPAC Championships
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is excited to compete in the 2026 IMA Great Plains Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships, which will take place on Monday and Tuesday at the Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, S.D.
The Flames are hoping to improve on last year's sixth-place finish. Expected in the lineup for the tournament are senior Emily Faubel, junior Katie Freeman, sophomore Victoria Farkas and freshmen Sofia Chavez and Frede Weiss.
The tournament is scheduled for 54 holes – 36 on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. The GPAC team champion will advance to the NAIA National Championships in Ypsilanti, Mich., May 19-20 at the Eagle Crest Golf Club. The individual champion (unless on the winning team) will also advance to the NAIA Championships.
Monday's start time is to be determined due to weather uncertainty. More details are coming this weekend as forecasts solidify.
Doane is the defending team champion after claiming the 2025 title in Cairo, Neb. Allison Meyerink from Dakota Wesleyan was the 2025 GPAC individual champion.
