Connelly signs with CSM for soccer and golf
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is excited to announce the signing of dual-sport athlete Eden Connelly, who will continue her soccer and golf careers at the school in the 2026-27 academic year.
Connelly is a senior at Elkhorn North High School and the daughter of Joshua and Tomi Connelly.
Her future coaches at CSM are excited to add Connelly to their programs.
"Eden is a natural athlete with an excellent work ethic,'' said Keri Rodriguez, the school's golf coach. "Her outgoing personality and positive attitude make her a great fit for the team. Can't wait to have her join us next year!''
"We are super excited about Eden,'' said Jamison Parkhill, the head soccer coach. "She is a fantastic player and person, and she will represent CSM, both on and off the field. Eden has a great personality and is already connected with our girls. She will hit the ground running when she steps on campus in the fall.''
At Elkhorn North, Connelly has been a member of a Class B state-qualifying soccer team and a two-time state runner-up team in Class B golf. This season, she was the fourth-place individual finisher in the Class B-2 district golf meet.
In her free time, Connelly enjoys various types of art, sand volleyball, coaching, cooking, working with Unified Sports/Special Olympics and bowling. She said she felt drawn to the CSM community.
"I have known the coaches for a long time, so it was great to have that connection, as well as being able to see a future of growth in the program, which excited me,'' Connelly said. "I also wanted to be close enough to home where my family would be able to come watch my games, and CSM is only 20 minutes from my house.
"The facilities are great, which is exciting. CSM has my major and is highly ranked in the country for it, as well as a physical therapy program I can go into straight after my undergrad.''
