Kramer transferring to CSM for soccer
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is pleased to announce that Makena Kramer will continue her soccer career at the school in the 2026-27 academic year.
Kramer is a 2025 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, and spent the past year at Lake Erie College, an NCAA Division II school in Painesville, Ohio.
"Makena is coming home,'' CSM Coach Jamison Parkhill said. "She is a difference maker for us in the midfield. She can create for others and be dangerous in and around the box. Super excited she is joining us this fall!''
At Thomas Jefferson, Kramer participated in soccer and volleyball for four years each, and softball and track & field for one year. In soccer, she was a three-time all-stater, as well as a four-time all-city and four-time all-conference selection. She also broke the single-season school record for assists.
Kramer's greatest sports moment to date is scoring her first collegiate goal off a half volley. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, crafts, hiking and being with animals.
She said the more she learned about CSM, the more she wanted to come home.
"It's a good team environment as well as a very good coaching staff,'' Kramer said. "The school itself is very nice as well, and staff members were very helpful in my process of transferring credits.''
