FREMONT, Neb. – For College of Saint Mary swim coach Liz Germonprez, it wasn't difficult to put her team's performance on Friday into proper context.

"Tonight's session is the single best team effort since I started coaching at CSM,'' the second-year coach said.

The Flames captured two of the five individual event finals contested on Friday along with the 400 medley relay, and remain in second place entering the final day of the three-day Warrior Invitational at the Dillon Family Aquatic Center.

The University of Nebraska at Kearney leads with 852, followed by CSM (603), Iowa Western Community College (450), Midland University (247) and Iowa Lakes Community College (111).

 The individual victories came from senior Jaidyn Vanschoiack in the 100 backstroke and freshman Grace Biddle in the 400 IM.

Vanschoiack swam her first personal best in the 100 back since her freshman year, winning in 1:02.75. Biddle captured the 400 IM in 4:57.16.

In the 400 medley relay, Vanschoiack teamed with Kylee Brown, Hannah Ferguson and Isabella Promes to win in 4:11.00.

"This team is coming together,'' Germonprez said.

Brown added a second in the 200 freestyle, making the NAIA national B-cut in 2:00.56, while thirds went to Hannah Ferguson in the 400 IM (5:05.42) and Chloe Hale in the 100 backstroke (1:03.29).

In all, the Flames recorded 13 total season-best swims.
