HASTINGS, Neb. – Iyannah Pardiwalla picked up a pair of consolation bracket tennis victories to finish fifth in the Singles 'A' bracket Saturday, highlighting College of Saint Mary's participation in the Bronco Invite.

Pardiwalla first defeated teammate Yana Gupta, 8-1, in a match in which Gupta was not at full strength. Pardiwalla then beat Kathryn Johnson of Doane 8-2 for fifth in the consolation final.

In CSM's other two matches, Doane's Johnson beat Rishita Agarwal, 8-4, and Abby Harveson of Hastings downed Darece Van Auken, 8-4.

"We had a slightly better showing today in the back draw,'' CSM Coach Michael Johnson said. "We'll go back and regroup this next week.''

The Flames will conclude their fall schedule on Oct. 25 against Truman State at Crete, Neb.
