Tennis program signs Loredo

OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is excited to announce that Dafne Loredo has signed to continue her tennis career with the school in the 2026-27 academic year.

She is the daughter of Jesus Loredo and Juana Luevano, and a senior at Columbus High School in Columbus, Neb.

"We are very excited to add Dafne as a freshman in the fall,'' CSM Coach Mike Johnson said. "When asked why she loves tennis, she said that she loves the competition, and added that tennis has a unique quality where you compete as an individual as well as a team.''

During her time in high school, Loredo has been a state wrestling qualifier and a state tennis participant. She considers qualifying for the state wrestling meet to be her greatest sports moment to date.

Johnson said Loredo will be an excellent addition to his program.

"We are excited to bring a new player onto the team with a competitor's mindset,'' he said. "We look forward to seeing Dafne in the fall!''

In her free time, Loredo enjoys working out, crafts and a variety of other sports.

She said she selected CSM because she "really enjoyed the nursing program and the chance to be on the tennis team.''
