Uchil, Moreno, Gupta named All-GPAC in tennis
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Three College of Saint Mary tennis players have earned All-Great Plains Athletic Conference honors for their outstanding play during the 2026 season, and two others were named to the honorable mention list.
Freshman Callista Uchil of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, actually earned all-conference recognition for her play in both singles and doubles. Uchil was one of four athletes named as a No. 1 singles player. She also joined freshman Noel Moreno of Oceanside, Calif., to form one of three doubles teams to make all-conference at No. 1 doubles. At last report, Uchil and Moreno were ranked 31st nationally in doubles.
Sophomore Yana Gupta of Haryana, India, was one of three women who earned all-conference honors for her play at No. 4 singles.
Additionally, Gupta and freshman Abrianna Reynosa earned honorable mention for their play as a doubles team during the season.
CSM finished the GPAC regular season with a 4-3 dual record and tied for third in the final standings, its highest finish since 2019. The Flames ended with a 9-4 overall dual record.
Maria Purizaca from Doane University has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Tennis Player of the Year, while Alex Struck from Morningside University is the Hauff/Mid-America Sports GPAC Women's Coach of the Year.
