OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is thrilled to announce the signing of Payton Bauer, who will continue her volleyball career with the school in the 2026-27 academic year.

Bauer is a 2026 graduate of Deshler High School in Deshler, Neb. She's the daughter of Tyson and Jill Bauer.

"I am excited to announce the signing of Payton,'' CSM Coach Rick Pruett said. "She is a dynamic hitter who will help our team score points from the outside hitter position. She understands the game and will be a great addition to Flames volleyball.''

The 5-foot-10 Bauer was a multi-sport standout at Deshler, playing four years of volleyball, basketball and track & field. Her greatest sports moment to date was placing third at USAV nationals two years in a row with her club volleyball team.

In addition to her sports, Bauer enjoys playing video games, snuggling with her cats, watching TV, taking naps, listening to music and drawing in her free time.

She said she chose CSM because she "fell in love with the supportive and welcoming community.''
