Elen Pruett named GPAC Defender of the Week
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – College of Saint Mary is proud to announce that Elen Pruett has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defender of the Week.
Pruett, a junior libero from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, and the daughter of CSM Coach Rick Pruett, earned the award for her stellar play during the week of Aug. 18-24.
The Flames went 2-2 during their own College of Saint Mary/MH Hospitality Labor Day Classic, with both of their losses coming to nationally rated teams, No. 5 Eastern Oregon and No. 18 College of Idaho.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Volleyball Players-of-the-Week
Defender – Elen Pruett, College of Saint Mary (Defensive Specialist)
College of Saint Mary defensive specialist Elen Pruett is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender of the Week. Pruett led the Flames in digs in all four matches at the CSM Labor Day Classic. Pruett averaged 5.19 digs per set, including a season-best 25 in a five-set win over Peru State. Pruett also had seven service aces on the weekend and matched her career high with 10 assists in a four-set win over Saint Francis.
Attacker – Ashley Keck, Concordia University (Outside)
Concordia's Ashley Keck is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker of the Week. Keck, a senior, from Kearney, Nebraska, continues to pace fourth-ranked Concordia on the attack. Over four matches at the CSM Labor Day Classic (3-1 record for the Bulldogs), Keck totaled a team best 51 kills (4.25/set) while hitting .248 from the outside. She also tallied 45 digs, three blocks and two aces for the week. Keck leads Concordia with 106 kills this season.
Setter- Kayleigh Hybertson, Dakota Wesleyan University
Kayleigh Hybertson of Dakota Wesleyan University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter of the Week. Hybertson, a junior from Sioux Falls, S.D., had 158 total set assists through four matches where the Tigers went 2-2 and secured wins over No. 8 IU-Kokomo and (RV) Benedictine at the CSM Labor Day Classic. She notched double-doubles in a pair of the matches.
