Four Flames named Academic All-District in volleyball
2025 CSC Academic All-District Volleyball Teams
OMAHA, Neb. – Four College of Saint Mary volleyball players were honored on Tuesday as Academic All-District award winners by the College Sports Communicators.
The honorees are senior Kaitlyn Busby and juniors Caitlin McCormack, Elen Pruett and Madalyn Welp.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to be nominated for this award. Nominees also had to meet specific requirements in terms of games played and games started during the 2025 season. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
2025 CSC Academic All-District Honorees – CSM Volleyball
Kaitlyn Busby, Sr., S, Yucaipa, Calif.
Major: Kinesiology/Exercise Science
Notable: Finished her career with more than 2,000 assists, including 1,151 in her two years at CSM.
Caitlin McCormack, Jr., OH, Omaha, Neb.
Major: Nursing
Notable: Ranked fourth on the team in kills (189) and third in digs (270) this past season.
Elen Pruett, Jr., L, Sergeant Bluff-Luton
Major: Biology
Notable: Passed the 1,000-dig milestone last season. Honorable mention All-GPAC selection and GPAC Defender of the Week for Aug. 18-24.
Madalyn Welp, Jr., RS, Sioux City, Iowa
Major: Elementary Education
Notable: Second on the team in kills (255) and kill efficiency (.202) last season. Honorable mention All-GPAC selection.
